Introduction to UserTesting
Making money online is a goal for many people around the world. There are many ways to earn cash using a computer or a smartphone. Some methods take a long time to learn. Other methods pay very little money for a lot of work. If you want a fun and easy way to earn money online, you should learn about UserTesting. This website connects everyday people with big companies that want feedback on their websites and apps. You do not need any special computer skills to get started. You just need a computer or a phone, a microphone, and an internet connection. Companies spend a lot of money to make sure their websites are easy to use. If a website is confusing, people will leave and buy things from other places. To stop this from happening, businesses pay regular users to test their pages. You can be one of these testers. You can sit in your own home and talk about what you see on a screen. The company listens to your voice and watches your screen video. For your time and thoughts, they send you money. This article will explain everything you need to know about this website. You will learn how to sign up, how to take tests, how much money you can make, and how to get your cash safely.
How UserTesting Works
The process of using this platform is very simple. First, you need to sign up for a free account on the website. You will need to provide your email address and basic information about yourself. After you sign up, you must take a practice test. This practice test is very important. The staff at the website want to make sure your microphone works well and that you can speak your thoughts out loud clearly. Once you pass this short practice test, your account is ready. Now you can wait for tests to arrive in your inbox or on your dashboard. When a test is available, you will see a screening questionnaire. These are a few quick questions to see if you fit the group the company is looking for. For example, a company might want to test a pet food website. They only want to talk to people who own cats or dogs. If you do not own a pet, the test will end quickly, and you can try another one. If you fit the group, the main test begins. A window will open on your screen. You will receive a set of instructions to follow. You might need to visit a website, find a specific item, put it in a shopping cart, and pretend to buy it. While you do this, you must speak out loud. You need to say what you like, what you dislike, and what is confusing to you. The software records your computer screen and your voice. When you finish the tasks, you upload the video. A human reviewer checks your video to make sure you followed all the rules. Once approved, the payment process begins.
Earnings and Payments
Everyone wants to know how much money they can make on UserTesting. The standard pay for a normal test is ten dollars. Each standard test takes about twenty minutes to complete. If you do three tests, you can make thirty dollars in one hour. This is a very good rate of pay for work you can do from your sofa. Sometimes, the platform offers live video interviews. These interviews take place over a video call with a researcher. Live interviews often pay much more money. You can make thirty dollars, sixty dollars, or even more for a chat that lasts thirty to sixty minutes. The money is paid through an online payment service called PayPal. You must have an active PayPal account to receive your earnings. After you finish a test, there is a waiting period of seven days. During this week, the company reviews your video. Once the seven days pass, the money appears in your account balance. You can then transfer the cash to your PayPal wallet. From PayPal, you can send the money to your bank or use it to buy things online. It is reliable, and the platform always pays on time. Many users like this speed because they do not have to wait until the end of the month to see their cash.
Tips for Success
If you want to make a good amount of money on this platform, you need to follow some basic rules. First, you must speak clearly and continuously. The worst thing you can do during a test is stay quiet. The company wants to hear your thoughts. If you do not know where to click, say that out loud. If a button is too small, mention it. Being honest and talkative makes you a great tester. Second, you should check your dashboard often. Tests are available to many people at the same time. The first people to answer the screening questions get the test. If you wait too long, the test spots will be full. Third, make sure you are in a quiet room. If there is a barking dog, a loud television, or crying children in the background, your audio will be poor. Poor audio leads to a low rating from the reviewers. If your ratings are too low, you will stop receiving test offers. Fourth, always be honest on the screening questions. Do not lie to get into a test. If you lie, you will not know how to complete the tasks, and you will not get paid. Fifth, keep your computer updated and make sure your internet is fast. A slow computer will crash during the screen recording, and you will waste your time. By following these easy steps, you can build a steady side income with very little stress.
Pros and Cons
Like every online job, UserTesting has good sides and bad sides. You should know both before you spend your time on it.
- The work is very flexible. You can do tests day or night, whenever you have free time.
- You do not need any special degree or past experience to start testing websites.
- The pay rate per hour is higher than many other online tasks like clicking ads or taking long surveys.
- You get to see new websites and products before the general public knows about them.
- Getting accepted for tests can be hard. You might answer many screeners without getting a single test.
- The number of available tests goes up and down. Some weeks are very busy, while other weeks are very slow.
